Rise.09 - A fashion show to benefit Elevate Hope |

(San Francisco, September 3, 2009) - Christine Chi + Denamarie Productions are pleased to present Rise.09 fashion show which will commence with an exclusive invite only VIP cocktail party + silent art auction to benefit Elevate Hope, followed by gorgeous designs on the catwalk by Erica Varize, Silver Lucy + Marlowe Bassett. Audio ambience for the show + afterparty by 9Ten (Jflea + IBU 600). The show will take place at 9:30 pm on Friday, October 23rd, 2009 at Poleng Lounge, SF (www.polenglounge.com). Rise.09 opens to general public at 9:00 + tickets are for sale at the door only for $15; VIP tickets are $25 and include reserved seating. Erica Varize is a self-taught fashion designer who opened the Evarize Fashion Cafe in Berkeley, CA in 2005 and has since expanded her line to over a dozen locations including Las Vegas and Chicago. Her most rewarding accomplishments center around the Measu(RED) line which gives a portion of proceeds directly to HIV and AIDS-related charities. This year she took home the coveted “Best Cause” award in the East Bay Express for her efforts toward the fight against HIV & Aids in Africa. Silver Lucy design combines a creative bend with an uncommon style sensibility that's both modern and timelessly elegant, creating "one offs" that look great and feel delicious to wear. sld can be found at TRUNK, an independent designer co-op. 544 haight st. @ Fillmore, The Mission Statement and Ceiba Records. sld studiO/G is located in the Twin Peaks district of San Francisco and is open by appt. www.silverlucydesign.com Marlowe Bassett has been designing fashions and costumes since 2004, and was awarded the Fashion Group International Foundation Scholarship in 2005 for her achievements and commitment to the fashion Industry. She has designed costumes for Liss Fain Dance, Gregory Dawson for Company C Contemporary Ballet, Lines Ballet School and SOTA, Kunst-Stoff, Janice Garrett & Dancers with the Del Sol String Quartet and Charles Moulton for “String Wreck”. Her design for “Discarded to Divine” 08’was featured in the Barney’s New York window display in San Francisco’s Union Square. She is currently focusing on launching a new clothing line. Proceeds from Rise.09 will benefit the Elevate Hope Foundation who is dedicated to providing abused and abandoned children an alternative method of therapy through music and the arts, and funding special services and programs that assist the needs of these children.
