Dena Marie Productions is pleased to announce Sol.07, a fashion show to benefit Room To Read San Francisco, CA (July 13th, 2007) Sol.07 is a fashion show dedicated to the emergence of five very dedicated, eclectic designers and celebrates their newest collections in the city's creatively vibrant Mission District. Sol.07, featuring designs by Gelareh Roudsari, Antoniya Ivanova, Chris Wan, Ferrell Hapgood, and Lauren Craig will take place on Friday, July 13th, 2007 at Sub_Mission Studio (www.subsessions.org) located at 199 Capp Street, San Francisco, CA. Doors open at 9pm and the fashion show begins at 10pm. Guests will enjoy a pre-party with appetizers and full bar beginning at 9pm. Dena Marie Productions (www.denamarie.org) established in 2006, was born out of the heart of the SF art and design community and promotes the growth of fashion designers as well as benefits worthy causes. We recognize a need in the creative circles for education geared toward student and emerging designers on how to increase their marketability while shedding light on important global and local community issues. Dena Marie Productions meets those needs! The best way to do that is through fashion shows. These events serve as a chance for the designers to build connections within their community, hone their portfolios, get out there in the public eye, and ultimately benefit good causes. When you attend Sol.07 a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Room to Read (www.roomtoread.org) who partner with local communities throughout the developing world to establish schools, libraries, and other educational infrastructure. This organization seeks to intervene early in the lives of children in the belief that education is a lifelong gift that empowers people to ultimately improve socioeconomic conditions for their families, communities, countries, and future generations. Room to Read began working with rural communities in Nepal in 2000 to build schools and establish libraries. The organization's geographic reach expanded rapidly as significant needs and opportunities were identified in Vietnam (2001), Cambodia (2002) and India (2003). The Asian Tsunami in December 2004 provided a catalyst for entry into Sri Lanka followed shortly by Laos. In 2006, they expanded to a second continent by launching Room to Read in South Africa. Every donation makes a world of difference in the lives of these children living in the developing world. Downloads: |
